Location: Sarasota County Center of Hope – Sarasota, FL
Position Type: Full Time Hourly – Sunday to Thursday - 7am to 3:30pm
Pay Range: $20.30/hr
About this opportunity:
Monitors assigned caseload of clients participating in a short-term life management program in conjunction with the Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) partnership.
Key responsibilities:

• Establishes program plan/goals and evaluates client’s progress by conducting routine meetings with client(s) and/or other Salvation Army staff or those assigned by partner agencies.
• Serves as advocate for client in order to acquire abilities and skills that will enable them to cope with their environment functionally.
• Ability to work on a team and communicate effectively.

What we are looking for in you:

• Two years of college coursework from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or a related field and
• Two years experience working in a social or public service environment with experience assisting the public or
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
